What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a highly specialized cognitive behavioral tool that guides the client’s subconscious mind into a focused meditative state. The goal of hypnosis is to access the subconscious mind in such a way that it becomes receptive to positive behavioral changes. Before entering a hypnotic state, we discuss any concerns, reservations, or general questions you might have. We also review goals for the session. Let us put your mind at ease (literally): hypnosis is not mind control! You cannot be hypnotized into doing something your mind and body would otherwise reject if you were fully conscious! Rest assured that we are skilled, trained, and certified professionals with your best interest in mind at all times. During your session, you remain fully aware and in control at all times. You will hear and recall everything as the Hypnotist guides you.
What it Helps
Hypnosis helps both the mind and body work together in a more coordinated, holistic way. Studied in many clinical trials, hypnosis has been shown to be an effective treatment method for a number of conditions such as weight release, addiction, and stress. Hypnosis is particularly special in that it can help the client and practitioner identify the root causes of the issues we are addressing.
